A Day at the J For Your Child

Our day begins with Morning Centers, which are followed by Circle Time, then Learning Group Time. The day continues with playground, learning specialists, lunch and afternoon activities. Fridays include continued learning but the day has an emphasis on celebrating Shabbat.

These daily activities are modified as appropriate for the different age groups that we serve.

Morning Centers:

Builds cognitive skills through manipulatives and various games; Builds fine motor skills through writing, cutting, painting, beading; Builds sensory enhancement through play dough, gak & “water” table

Circle Time:

Builds oral language and reading skills through stories and poems, discussion and other art forms; Builds math & science skills through counting, shapes, and add/subtract exercises

Learning Group Time:

Builds important kindergarten skills such as reading, writing, math, science, social studies, art and poetry
