We are the only day camp in Tucson accredited by the prestigious ACA (American Camping Association), which ensures delivery of the highest standards in the industry.

At Summer Camp J, campers enjoy the use of the Tucson J’s beautiful state-of-the-art 110,000-square-foot facility, including the indoor Playspace, kosher demonstration kitchen, the youth gym, mind body studio and youth only locker rooms, as well as the full-size gym, pool, Splash Park, outdoor fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, computer lab, art studio, dance room, music room, youth lounge and more.

Tucson J is now offering transportation to our location from morning camp sites in Tucson, as well as easy low-cost transportation from Northwest Tucson (Foothills Mall in front of Barnes & Noble) both  morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off service.

Camp J Traditional Camps

Camp J is a safe, fun, and caring environment that offers youth grades K-8 the opportunity to enjoy the  traditional day camp experience. From morning opening to specialist programming, your campers will  enjoy a wide variety of activities led by trained and experienced staff and designed to give them a summer experience unlike any other.

Shalom (Peace)

Campers entering grades K-2
A program designed for campers to enjoy the traditional day camp experience and explore all the Tucson JCC has to offer. Grouped by age, campers are involved in programming designed to meet the needs of their developmental level. Shalom campers participate in activities led by experienced specialist instructors, as well as daily swim along with swim instruction.
Cost Per Week: $295 / $250 Member

Giborim (Heroes)

Campers entering grades 3-5
In Giborim, campers enjoy a traditional day camp designed to nurture creativity and build skills while allowing campers to explore new interests, have fun, and be a part of our camp community. Giborim campers participate in activities led by experienced specialist instructors as well as have Chugim  (choices) to be able to choose their own activities throughout the week. A weekly field trip is also part of the program.
Cost Per Week: $315 / $270 Member

Tiyul (Trip)

Campers entering grades 6-8
Nothing says adventure like Camp Tiyul! Each week we embark on exciting excursions. We will be going on a variety of day trips and overnight trips each week. Much of the camp programming is designed to engage campers in teamwork, making new friends, and helping create the awareness of self.
Cost Per Week: $335 / $290 Member

Bonim (Builders)

Campers entering grades 9-12
The Leader-In-Training program is a place where teenagers learn the skills needed to be the next generation of leaders. Bonim Campers will work with campers of all ages under the guidance of Camp J staff all while still enjoying time for social interaction. Our LIT’s will participate in team-building, leadership training, and experience a summer they will never forget. Enrollment in Camp Bonim requires a pre-camp interview for eligibility and expectations.
Cost Per Week: $175 / $125 Member

Sports Camp

Campers entering grades 3-5
Designed for children who love sports and want to advance their skills in a fun and supportive camp environment. At this camp, campers will work to develop their athletics skills, learn and compete in a variety of sports and games, participate in team building exercises, and learn the value and importance of sportsmanship. The program has a strong emphasis on incorporating Jewish values and the life skills learned through sports. Our goals for Sports Camp are to: have fun in a safe and caring environment,
improve skills and fitness, and to become better teammates.
Cost: $260 / $235 Members

Athletic Conditioning Camp

Campers entering grades 6-8
Take your sport to the next level! ACC is designed for young athletes who are working towards specific fitness goals. Utilizing programs, equipment, and staff from the JCC’s Health &Fitness and Sports & Recreation Department, daily activities include athletic strength and conditioning, sports related skills training, recovery techniques, nutritional guidance, and more. Develop and improve your speed, strength, power, quickness, and agility.
Cost: $295 / $255 Members

Specialty Camps

Whether it is getting first-class tennis instruction, building a personal robot, or learning the art of  computer coding, Tucson JCC specialty camps are a great way to have fun while gaining a specialized skill. Our camps provide professional focused instruction which result in fun with learning mixed in. Besides direct training in your chosen specialty in our morning specialty camps, you can add-on the  afternoon Camp Sababa which includes swimming and time in our spectacular facilities. Let this be summer of fun and recreation.

Morning Specialty Camps

This summer’s specialty camps include: Triathlon Camp, S.y.STEM Coalition Camps, Play-Well Teknologies Camps, Drawing Studio Art Camp, and Comic Book Creations.

Tennis Camp

Weeks 1 – 10
9am – 12:15pm
Grades: 1st – 9th
Tennis camp provides an opportunity for players of all skill levels to improve their game with professional instruction. Campers will work on all shots, singles and doubles play, strategy, scoring, good sportsmanship and conditioning.
