Cooking Classes at The J

Cooking Classes at The J!  All dishes are kosher and vegetarian. Classes take place in The J’s Spivak Demonstration Kitchen on the 2nd Floor. Please contact Jeremy Thompson, Manager of Arts & Culture, at or 520-299-3000 ext 236 with any questions. 

Register for any class with the buttons below, in person at the Welcome Desk, or call 520.299.3000. The payment for the class is due no later than the Wednesday before the class date or your spot will be forfeited. In the event you cancel your reservation after 5 pm on Wednesday or do not show up for the class, you will be charged a $20 non-refundable fee.

Learn about vegetarian cooking techniques with Phyllis Valenzuela, from the San Xavier Co-Op Farm. The class recipes will include traditional foods such as tepary beans, mesquite flour and cholla buds: get a taste of the desert with mesquite cookies, cholla bud salad with a citrus dressing, and more!
